The Pakistan Cricket Board (PCB) is awaiting a response from the Kangaroo Board to play an additional Test match in the Australian cricket team’s tour of Islamabad early next year. According to sources, the PCB is hopeful that a positive response will be received from Cricket Australia soon in this regard. The PCB had suggested playing an additional Test in the tour next year.

Australia’s scheduled tour of Pakistan’s in February, March 2022 includes 2 Tests, 3 ODIs and 3 T20 matches. Chief Executive Wasim Khan said that under the Future Tours program, we are trying our best to have three Tests instead of two in the series. However, it is too early to say whether the third Test is possible or not but our efforts are continuing. Wasim Khan added that Cricket Australia was in talks and the proposal was being considered.
