Imran Khan Unhappy about T20I WC Squad Sarfraz and Shoaib Malik likely to join the team Prime Minister Imran Khan has expressed anger over the selection of T20 World Cup squad. 

While the chairman PCB has been directed to make changes in the squad.  Shoaib Malik and Sarfraz Ahmed’s chances of joining the team increased.

After the poor performance of the Power Hutters in the National T20, the demand for a change in the national squad for the T20 World Cup is gaining momentum.  Now there are reports that even Prime Minister Imran Khan is not happy with the selection of players.

According to sources, Prime Minister Imran Khan is not satisfied with the national T20 team.

  He also directed the Chairman PCB to make necessary changes in the squad. Rameez Raja asked for time till the completion of the first phase of National T20 Cup which will end on October 3.

National T20 squad players Azam Khan, Khushdal Shah, Mohammad Nawaz, Mohammad Hasnain and Sohaib Maqsood have not yet shown any significant performance in the National T20 Cup due to which they are facing severe criticism.

Azam Khan scored 35 runs in three matches, Sohaib Maqsood 42 runs, Khushdal Shah also scored only 51 runs in three innings while spinners Mohammad Nawaz and Mohammad Hasnain took only 2 wickets.

Sources said that Fakhar Zaman, Sharjeel Khan, Shahnawaz Dahani and Usman Qadir are likely to be given a chance in their place. After the Prime Minister’s intervention, veterans say that Shoaib Malik and Sarfraz Ahmed are also expected to join the team.

  Former national team captain and wicketkeeper Sarfraz Ahmed has performed well in the National T20 Cup and his captaincy has taken the Sindh team to the top position.

According to sources, PCB chairman Rameez Raja will soon meet the selection committee to discuss the necessary changes in the squad for the World Cup.
